Ume Pendant - Dainty with Flowers
- Handmade Botanical Jewellery
Ume is a species of Asian plum in the family Rosaceae. It is a common fruit in Asia and used in traditional Chinese medicine. The buds and blossoms are also seen as a symbol of winter and a harbinger of spring. Growing and blooming most vibrantly amidst the winter snow, they have come to symbolize not only perseverance and hope, but also beauty, purity and the transitoriness of life.
Materials: The Ume pendant is cast in hand patinated bronze with white freshwater pearls and articulated cast bronze flowers.
