Peach Blossom Brooch
- Handmade Botanical Jewellery
Peach blossoms are a type of flower that are native to China and have been cultivated for thousands of years. They are typically pale pink in colour and have a delicate and sweet fragrance.
Peach blossoms have long been associated with love, romance, and prosperity. In ancient Chinese poetry and art, peach blossoms were often used as a symbol of feminine beauty and elegance.
They are also considered to be a symbol of spring and the renewal of life. Peach blossoms typically bloom in early spring, just as the weather starts to warm up and the days begin to lengthen. The sight of the delicate pink flowers is seen as a sign of the end of winter and the beginning of a new season.
With a rich history and cultural significance, the peach blossom is a beautiful and meaningful flower.
Materials: The leaves and twigs of the Peach Blossom brooch are cast in green hand patinated bronze. The brooch is accented with cast glass flowers and buds in pale and dark pink with gold plated centres.
