Fine Irish Thorn Brooch
In Irish sagas, plants have magical powers. The elder, rowan and thorn are still planted around houses to keep off witches. In Ireland and the Isle of Man, the thorn is thought to be the resort of faeries, and they are probably representatives of the older tree spirits and gods of groves and forests.
Materials: The Irish Thorn brooch is available in Gold Vermeil (24kt Gold over Sterling Silver) and solid 18kt Gold on request. Both options have been cast from the botanical element and are accented with white freshwater pearls.
Measures: 3.1" L x 1.4" W
