Michael has revisited one of his most beloved collections with new inspiration and design. The Dainty Orange Blossom Collection is an ode to our classic Orange Collection, but with a fresh twist.

Orange trees can grow up to about 30 feet tall and bear fruit once each year, though its month of harvest depends on the fruit’s variety. At the end of its season, ripe orange fruit is picked from its luscious tree. Though its striking white blossoms create a beautiful mosaic of white petals across its branches, only a small percentage of the orange tree’s blossoms actually grow fruit. Not only is this beloved citrus fruit delicious, but its trees are a masterpiece of nature.

Materials: The Dainty Orange Blossom earrings are cast in hand patinated bronze, accented with cast glass oranges, matte white silver flowers and freshwater pearls. The posts are 925 silver.

It captures the beauty and exquisite detail of nature using soft patinas on bronze accented with pearls, beads, glass and semi-precious stones. His exacting attention to detail gives you true to nature, botanical jewellery.

About our Jewellery

Our unique jewellery is made by creating moulds directly from botanical elements in a process similar to lost-wax casting. While traditional lost-wax casting begins with a hand-carved model of wax, Michael Michaud uses an actual leaf, branch or flower in place of the wax model. A mould is created around the botanical element and as it is heated the plant matter burns away and leaves behind a beautifully detailed mould of itself.

Michael Michaud

Artist Michael Michaud attended the Rochester Institute of Technology's prestigious school for American craftsmen, where he studied under designers Hans Christenson and Gary Griffin and became a master in the creation and manipulation of moulds. After graduating in 1980, Michael Michaud continued to perfect his craft while working under jewellery designers in the New York City area.

In 1991, he found himself working in New York City's flower district and living in the beautiful Connecticut countryside - his love of the natural beauty that surrounded him began to blend with his passion for creating jewellery which lead to the birth of Michael Michaud Jewellery.
