Blue Cornflower Brooch
- Handmade Botanical Jewellery
The Cornflower is a small annual flowering plant in the family Asteraceae, native to Europe. It flowers from June until August. Flanders Field in Belgium, best known for the red poppy, is also home to the Blue Cornflower. In France it is the symbol of the 11th of November 1918 armistice and, as such, a common symbol for veterans (especially the front line French soldier).
The collection has been licensed by ONAC-Regie Reclettes Bleues de France/Paris, France.
Materials: The Blue Cornflower brooch is cast in bronze with a blue enamel flower and gunmetal cast pearl centres.
Measures: 3" L
