Azalea Earring - Wire
This collection has been inspired by Charles Caryl Coleman's Still Life with Azaleas and Apple Blossoms, 1878. Both composition and choice of objects were inspired by the contemporary fashion for Japanese art at that time. The painting also demonstrates his sympathy with the Aesthetic Movement of the late 19th century in opposition to the Industrial Revolution and mass production.
Materials: The Azalea earrings are cast in hand patinated bronze. The flowers are silver plated with copper highlights and accented with white freshwater pearls. The wires are 925 silver.
Measures: 0.68" W x 0.65" L
